What your service charges cover

If you live in a property with shared facilities such as an entrance hall, lift or grounds, or with services such as emergency call systems, your rent will include a service charge.

Service charges cover the cost to us of cleaning and maintaining these areas and services. The cost is split between all the residents who may use the communal facilities or receive the services.

We will regularly ask you about any changes needed to the services you receive. We are always trying to improve the way we manage these service and our contractors, and any savings we can make are passed on to you.

You can see a breakdown of your service charges and what they cover on our customer portal Your Platform. We will also send you a written breakdown of your charges, and any changes, with your annual rent review.
