Robertson Knoll is a modern independent living scheme situated off a quiet side road in an established residential area.
Robertson Knoll provides 44 one-bedroom and one two-bedroom unfurnished flats. Most are situated in the main block, with 10 in the grounds. Each flat is fully self-contained with a lounge, kitchen and bathroom, and has electric central heating, double glazing and a call system to summon help in an emergency.
The scheme has two communal lounges and gardens where residents can meet and socialise. There is a laundry, hairdressing salon and computer/internet facilities on site, and a guest suite for visitors who want to stay overnight.
The nearest shops, including a chemist, are just across the road and a doctors' surgery is a short walk away. There are good public transport services for travel around Birmingham.
There are always lots of social activities going on at Robertson Knoll, including daily tea and coffee mornings (Monday to Friday), twice weekly bingo sessions, craft afternoons and evening entertainment. Off-site, there is a day centre nearby and we often arrange coach trips out.
An Independent Living Scheme Officer makes regular weekly scheme visits during working hours. Emergency 24 hour cover is provided through the central control alarm service
