Sandham Grange is a modern, purpose-built independent living scheme consisting of 36 two-bedroom flats, situated in the popular residential area of Bucklands End.
The fully self-contained, unfurnished flats comprise two bedrooms, lounge, fitted kitchen and bathroom with level-access shower. There are four ground floor flats specially adapted for disabled residents. All flats are fully electric with storage heaters and a focal fire, and have a call system to summon help in an emergency.
For residents who wish to socialise, we have a main communal lounge with a conservatory and four smaller lounges in the wings. There is also a pleasant, south-facing courtyard garden to the rear.
We have a laundry with dryers and an outside drying area on site, as well as a hairdressing salon , a library with computer / internet facilities and a small shop run by the residents. We have two assisted bathrooms, one for disabled residents and one with a spa bath for the more able bodied. We can also provide a guest room for friends or relatives who wish to stay overnight.
Secure parking, accessed by key fob, is provided to the rear, with four disabled bays to the front of the building.
Close by is a small shopping precinct with a post office, news agent, fish and chip shop, cafes and convenience stores.
Our Social Committee and scheme manager organise a variety of social activities both on and off site.
An Independent Living Scheme Officer makes regular weekly scheme visits during working hours. Emergency 24 hour cover is provided through the central control alarm service.
